Mission Statement

The mission of Three Valleys Municipal Water District is to supplement and enhance local water supplies to meet our region's needs in a reliable and cost-effective manner.

Open, Public Governance

Three Valleys is a public agency, organized under the State Water Code, and operates in an open and public environment. The seven members of the Board of Directors are elected to office, and encourage their constituents to learn more about local water issues. Regular Board Meetings are held the first AND third Wednesdays of each month at 8:00am and are open to the public. Areas That We Serve

Three Valleys Municipal Water District serves a number of cities, water agencies and water districts in the eastern Los Angeles County. Some of the cities and areas include: Azusa, City of Industry, Covina, Claremont, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Puente, La Verne, Pomona, Walnut, West Covina and Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights.

Conservation is not just for a drought; efficient water use must be a way of life. Three Valleys spreads this conservation message through school education and public information activities, including special classes for gardeners and homeowners that teach water efficient landscaping practices.

The Miramar Water and Hydroelectric Facility was constructed in 1987 at a cost of $30 million. The Facility was financed with a revenue bond and letter of credit under a three-way partnership between Three Valleys, the city of La Verne, and Southern California Water Company (now Golden State Water Co.).
