Mr. Juarez was elected and served on the Three Valleys Municipal Water District Board from 2003-2007.  He was re-appointed to the Board on November 4, 2009 to fill the vacancy in Division I, South Pomona.

Mr. Juarez is active in civic affairs having served on the City of Pomona's Planning Commission (as chair); served as a Board Member on the Pomona Valley Center for Community Development and the Academy for Culture and Technology.  He is a member of the Latino Forum, and served as the Vice President of the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Pomona Valley.  Through his affiliation with Three Valleys Municipal Water District, Mr. Juarez served as the ACWA Region 8 Delegate, representing the District on statewide water issues.

Mr. Juarez has been a resident of Pomona for 26 years and is a concrete mason and union member for 31 years, which previously led him to live and work in Hawaii.  He is married with three grandchildren.
