Conservation is not just for a drought; efficient water use must be a way of life.

Three Valleys spreads this conservation message through school education and public information activities. Three Valleys demonstrates water-conserving landscaping at the Miramar headquarters, and offers special classes for gardeners and homeowners that teach water efficient landscaping practices. Printed materials, school assemblies and field trips, displays and presentations about conservation are available upon request.

Three Valleys, working in partnership with our retail agencies and the Metropolitan Water District, has seen thousands of homes retrofitted with water-saving toilets and showerheads. Outdoors, hundreds of acres of landscape in parks, schools and other public places have had moisture sensors installed to maximize irrigation efficiency. The district is also tackling the retrofit of commercial sites with a variety of water-efficient fixtures and appliances.
